Love after oblivion
When you wake up all alone
Only reminded of what's wrong
Love after oblivion
And you try to wash it clean
But you don't know what it means
So you go out for a run in the rain
But everywhere you turn
Is just another bridge to burn
Too tired to think by the end of the night
Or even find someone to reflect what's right
Nothing sinks in but the alcohol
And you get me on the run
Love before oblivion
Love after oblivion
When emptiness is filled
With another's desperate will
Nothing there to soothe the soul
Rabbit on the run
Love before oblivion
Love before Oblivion
where the past can disippate
No sound but breath is made
The dawn breaks like a smile still
And everything in your eyes and
Everything they will
Everything sinks in the tapestry
Lying still to trace our way
Careful in the plans we made
Now when you go out for a run in the rain
Everywhere you turn
is a lesson to be learned
And the bridges that you swept away
Are starting to rebuild
On a shoreline on a hill
Once everything is said and done
In your eyes it's setting still
A lonely sun that drifted til
it disappeared over the horizon
A memory of waking One
When we loved before oblivion.
When you wake up all alone
Only reminded of what's wrong
Love after oblivion
And you try to wash it clean
But you don't know what it means
So you go out for a run in the rain
But everywhere you turn
Is just another bridge to burn
Too tired to think by the end of the night
Or even find someone to reflect what's right
Nothing sinks in but the alcohol
And you get me on the run
Love before oblivion
Love after oblivion
