Sunrise from the Inside

Streaming through my life
a sudden shift of glamour
Ive cried this endlessness that never forgets
And out and out and out and out it builds
Like the crescendo of a symphony in pantomime
of colored comas, silently breaking away this tortured silence.

Bereft. I left this standard coupling,
disembarked hoping and now softly silently remembering
I fall deep into the place where I lay and return to the place
I never left, this time, I will find, a way to get back home

A way to get back to you
And I will destroy anything that stands in my way

I will harden this mind and steel this shattered skin
revolt against the light that brings me this tortured poem of a soul
I raise my hand

I raise my hand and hold you tired returning from sleep, dreams
echo alone. Little birds in the camera eye.

You and I divorced sold souls fortune into the waves of the sea.

And I miss you like you miss me like a sunrise
from the inside.
