Summary: The Donner Zombie Party

I heard a lot about this movie, and about how graphic it is, but now
after watching it all I can say is wow this is a really terrible movie.
I can't even say it's horrible because it's dated, though it's possible
the way horror movies were done in the early 1980s are simply crafted
this way as a whole, who can say? Not I, so I review the movie based on
it's merits as I rate any other film.

First of all, the film is just too slow, lacking substance like a soup
of mostly water. I like the music for how silly it is but that seems to
be about it.

A family are lost at sea and the husband says they have to eat the
child who is dying anyway in order to survive. Wife accidentally is
killed and with her dying breath begs her husband to eat her instead.
This spirals the man into despair where he becomes a zombie and starts
eating people.

Imagine an island where something terrible happened and a once happy
family is gone. We see the killer in a photograph with his once happy
and carefree family life and wonder what happened to him? We read about
the killings in a diary that has been so burnt most of the text is
illegible. This serves to draw us into the story, but still this is
after an hour into the movie, where all we had up to this point is just
too little and far between separated by a lot of dead air.

There was potential here, but it fell far short of being any good.
