FIND ME GUILTY

Rating: 9/10
Summary:
"I'm not a gangster... I'm a gagster!" |
Find Me Guilty is not about one star; namely
Vin Diesel, but a
relationship of stars in the sky of film under the masterful
hand of
Sidney Lumet. A man whose movies I have been watching all of
my life on
TV, and in theaters.
A movie like Find Me Guilty allows an actor: Vin Diesel, the
room to
fulfill not only the real personality, but with the beautiful
support
cast of Peter Dinklage, Ron Silver... better to just say everyone
who
supported the film as supporting cast who did their jobs beautifully.
And under the direction of Lumet Diesel goes from a fluff film,
The
Pacifier to his most challenging movie he has starred in, and
he does
it beautifully.
Diesel doesn't lie to the camera or to the audience, he plays
it
straight, from the heart, true to character, and in doing so
commands
the stage. Is that why the man Vin is portraying, real life
Giacomo
"Jackie Dee" DiNorscio specifically wanted Vin Diesel
to play him in
this film? I can't know this, and respectfully digress from
assumption.
Vin excels in this role as an actor, expressing depth that
a lesser man
could not have faked. And that's what puts the final spot finish
on
this perfect film. Integrity, depth, and th seeking of depth.
Not
settling for good enough, or hoping for greatness, but striving
to be
true.
The movie left me with stars in my eyes and smiling. So who's
the star?
Jackie? Vin? I think in this story, where the audience feels
what it
means to be the character, we all are the star, and that's how
we learn
from film, and that's why I love this movie so much.
