Entertaining but lazy

The Harry Potter story matures with every film, as it should.
My
feeling is this is the best of the series to date, and we can
only hope
it continues to get better, particularly in Harry's abilities,
and in
the overall working out of situations.
Harry is a regular boy in irregular circumstances, by birthright.
For this I find the story very nice because it adds complexity
to an
otherwise straightforward story, and thus takes on a feel we
all can
relate to.
I had a lot of fun with the movie, it had some nice dialog,
plenty of
different experiences to enjoy, and great effects for wallpaper
making
on the computer, which I love.
Well i enjoyed the movie, but a few things I'd have changed.
dragon scene - we don't really get the sense that he accomplished
anything there except that he miraculously survives and comes
back
black lake trial - i didn't feel he did anything ingenious here
either,
i was hoping that chapter would have had a more interesting
summation
as well.
the maze - there was no sphinx, no demeanor, no weird mist,
no
blast-ended secrets, none of that.
graveyard - This was awesome but I didn't like that his family
helps
him escape, again he didn't actually do anything.
So for most of the movie, each time Harry has to do something
or anyone
for that matter has to do something, we don't see them do anything.
This led me to believe the script was not intellectually written,
and
thus left me a little dissatisfied.
I also felt the trials Harry faced could have been better.
He didn't
seem to do anything to pass them. Someone or something either
intervened or he just somehow got through it alive and that
was enough.
I didn't get the sense he himself did anything remotely interesting.
