Summary:
You wouldn't like me when I'm angry |

Okay a few people have been waiting to hear what I say after giving Hulk 2003 another chance,
and after watching it just now I realize I definitely wasn't paying proper attention the first time around,
because holy shit that was a fantastic movie.
The split panels completely brought the comic book to life. The story was palpable,
with incredibly fluid development and pacing. The chemistry between the characters was sincere and visceral.
I can't believe I missed out on this the first time around, I feel a little stupid now.
But I accept I was completely wrong about this movie. And I also must agree Ang Lee's Hulk
is far superior to Burton's Batman,
definitely a movie with far more depth and realism, but I'll always enjoy
Tim Burton's Batman in a lot of ways.
Hulk had the realism that made Nolan's Batman Begins so damn good.
I also have to admit the dialog was pretty good. If they hadn't done such a good job developing the
relationship between Banner and Betty Ross, the line "You weren't so hard to find", "Yes I was"
would have come off as cheesy, instead of carrying the weight it did
due to the careful development of the characters in the script.
Also the Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno chatting as they walk out of the college
main building was awesome in the beginning of the film.
The Hulk is truly a contemporary Shakespearean tragedy figure.
Jennifer Connelly always looks hot, I honestly have no complaints about this movie.
They should really redo Swamp Thing and give Alan Moore free reign again
like they did to save the comic series way back in the early '80s.
"You're making me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry"
And the dude just looks at him like... wtf?
And the adorable tree frog on his hat... fucking brilliant.
Possible Sequel: Tree Frog and Hulk vs USA!
