Summary: It looked like the perfect bank robbery. But you can't judge a crime by its cover.

Inside Man is a bank heist movie that blends a vigillante aspect with intellect and innovative film direction by Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X).

The story of a cop desperate to become a detective, and the case of his career. A case not about bank robberies, but something far more important. History, and how it is cursed to repeat for those who do not learn from our mistakes, and karmic retribution.

This is a movie that does not rely on cheap action, hails of gunfire, and belligerent bad mouthing and violence, but a carefully woven tale that for some will mean little, but as a Jew myself, it connected deeply.

On the one hand we have the Chairman of the Board of the Trust bank, who sold his soul to the nazis to become rich, and Jodie Foster, who effectively is his prodigy, who despises him, but in retrospect, is him.

A movie I thoroughly enjoyed, the soundtrack was energetic, inticing, the acting crisp and dialog smooth but not too heady. Overall a very decent picture.

Some will want plotholes or flaws to come into question, and to them I say, a movie that makes you asks questions is a good movie indeed.
