Good Morning Lincoln Six Echo
Ewan McGregor is Lincoln Six Echo. A man having nightmares about a girl, a boat, and it all being stripped away.
Scarlett Johansson is Jordan 2 Delta, a girl who never stopped to question until she won the lottery.
It started out as cloning for the longevity of the rich and famous,
assured the clones were not self-aware, not human.
Simply product, an insurance policy.
Everything is going very well, until the clones begin to question.
It started with the Echo series clones, and like a 100th monkey effect,
eventually all clones will demand more out of life.
Eventually Echo and Delta escape and seek out the truth, but in order to
protect a 120 billion defense budget, they must get them back to the Institute
at all costs.
The music and cinematography are fantastic, that is without question.
The importance of all life is paramount.
Yes the story is not exactly new.
We've seen paralell stories in A.I., Gattaca, A Brave New World, I. Robot,
the list goes on. That aside, it's an entertaining ride,
chalkful of explosions, car chases, helicopter chases, accents,
and layered conspiracies.
There is much cliche, but in the final analysis The Island is a no cliche-holds barred
desperate journey for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
