Summary:
Have you ever seen a dream walking? |

Lady in White is a quasi-horror movie made in 1988 that settled into the niche
of pleasant things with unpleasant stirrings just under the surface, one of my favorite genre styles of horror,
along with Poltergeist and the more recent A Tale of Two Sisters.

As a kid all I remembered of Lady in White was a very ethereal and creepy old song
sung in lilting tones in the movie that went something like:
"Have you ever seen a dream walking,
well I have...
Have you ever seen a dream talking,
well I have..."
And that's really all I remembered of the film for 2 years until recently,
when a friend told me the name of the movie I was thinking of was
none other than Lady in White and the song was by Bing Crosby.
I think the song was even more eerie because in real life Bing Crosby was an abuser to his wife and children.
The song was later used more recently on an episode of Medium.
Now I haven't seen the movie in many years, but I'm watching it tonight, and though
I'm sure it won't live up to the memory I had as a kid,
I just want to hear that song in context again.
